Role Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the employee experience by assisting with the implementation and maintenance of core HR processes. In this role, you will support activities related to employee relations, health and wellness, disability and return to work, recognition programs, and more. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of strategic process improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Support the development and implementation of Human Resources programs and services, contributing to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness;
  • Assist with the administrative components of HR process improvement projects including documentation, data entry and the coordination of related activities;
  • Prepare and deliver periodic reports for management on employee lifecycle changes and related activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements, ensuring timely booking and adherence to company policies;
  • Work collaboratively with team members from various departments on a variety of ad hoc requests;
  • Performs tasks associated with administering HR programs and initiatives including coordination of recognition, celebrations, employee events and community giving;
  • Provide back-up support for the receptionist, performing front desk duties to ensure smooth office operations.
Your Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you are an initiative-taker who enjoys problem solving and continuous improvement. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
Qualifications include:
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Completion of a recognized HR diploma program or HR certification/designation (CPHR), or working towards said designation;
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources or related administrative role;
  • Demonstrated capability to work on multiple priorities with a keen sense of urgency to execute and deliver results;
  • Creative, curious, and demonstrates the proven ability to bring forward innovative solutions to complex business challenges;
  • Service-oriented with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Detailed oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks while managing your work time efficiently;
  • Ability to maintain a cool and calm demeanor with urgent tasks;
  • Communicate professionally and maintain a high level of confidentiality;
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
