Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Contracts, the Contracts Manager will have a direct and meaningful impact on IMP’s success by ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and legal obligations, mitigating risk, and supporting critical aerospace and defence programs. Your expertise will help shape strategic decisions, strengthen client relationships, and enable IMP to deliver on its commitments to customers and partners.

Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Contracts, the Contracts Manager will have a direct and meaningful impact on IMP’s success by ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and legal obligations, mitigating risk, and supporting critical aerospace and defence programs. Your expertise will help shape strategic decisions, strengthen client relationships, and enable IMP to deliver on its commitments to customers and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, approving, executing, and renewing contracts.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to evaluate contractual risks and requirements, providing guidance and recommendations.
- Monitoring contract performance and compliance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to terms, including legal and regulatory obligations.
- Conducting thorough review and analysis of contract terms and conditions.
- Addressing inquiries related to contract interpretation and compliance, providing consistent support to various business units.
- Engaging in capture and bid management activities.
- Supporting Procurement with drafting terms and conditions, contractual review, negotiation, and subcontract management.
- Preparing and overseeing billing and claims in accordance with the contract basis of payment.
- Monitoring and analyzing progress against assigned contracts, including internal and external reporting.
- Preparing financial information to support negotiation activities and forecasting contract expenditures.
- Managing first-tier subcontractor relationships, including commercial negotiations and ensuring adherence to prime contract obligations.
- Maintaining an up-to-date contract repository and database.
- Assisting with company compliance to ITAR and Controlled Goods Regulations.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you have experience managing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation and administration to compliance and performance monitoring. This position requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage complex contractual relationships.

Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Commerce, Business Administration); MBA considered an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in contract management and/or negotiations.
- Aerospace & Defence sector experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets and word processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
