As a key member of their leadership team reporting directly to the Vice President, the Controller will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and senior executives to fuel revenue growth, optimize inventory strategies, and help shape the future of their business.

What you'll do:
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, financial statements, cost control, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements in compliance with standards.
- Manage day-to-day and long-term cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational stability.
- Administer banking operations and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to deliver accurate, complete monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Establish a robust management reporting system to support sales growth, inventory management, cost control, and profitability improvements.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions and operational initiatives.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (including Cannabis Act).
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff as the business and accounting team grows.
- Manage other strategic and administrative priorities as required.
What we’re looking for:
- CPA designation (or equivalent) is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required).
- 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting, ideally in high-volume, fast-growth environments.
- At least 2 years in a financial management role with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (Sage 50 preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives under pressure.
