Meridia Recruitment Solutions is in search of a Recruitment Specialist to join our growing team, based in our Halifax location. This position will support our US focused Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) recruitment practice remotely from Halifax.

Role Description: 

As a Recruitment Specialist with Meridia, you will have the opportunity to get involved with a wide variety of activities, as you support searches from start to finish, ensuring we provide clients and candidates with exemplary client and candidate care. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing a network of candidates in the AEC vertical.  

  • Providing support to the senior staff in conducting candidate research using different candidate databases and inventories and through online research.  

  • Preparing candidate materials for clients.  

  • Supporting the quality and accuracy of our database through the quality assurance of incoming data and management of candidate data in our systems.  

  • Creating job ads and posting within available platforms. When applicable, appropriately record paid ads and communicate to accounting to support invoicing.   

  • Providing reporting and research support in our ATS/CRM, such as producing records of experience reports for proposals.  

  • Assisting with the recruitment and selection process of different roles, which may include collecting applications, screening candidates, and conducting reference checks.  

  • Supporting inclusive recruitment processes and practices, in keeping with our firm’s policies and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Who you are:  

  • Tenacity and persistence, completing complex and extended projects.  

  • Personable and professional communication skills and the ability to build rapport over the phone or in an email.  

  • High degree of organization and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.  

  • Strong motivation to produce high quality work, as well as strong attention to detail.  

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field would be preferred. 

  • Willingness to contribute to team and office culture including social events and team building activities
