What You Will Do:
As Plant Manager, you will lead the end to end performance of a complex food processing operation. You’ll balance strategic leadership with hands on operational oversight—building high performing teams, driving results across safety, quality, efficiency, and cost, and positioning the plant for long term success.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across production, food safety, maintenance, supply chain, and people management
- Create a best in class culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Deliver results by optimizing production, efficiency, service levels, and cost through KPI driven performance management
- Build, mentor, and lead a high performing, cross functional leadership team and engaged frontline workforce
- Lead capital projects, automation, and process improvements to enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and increase profitability
- Proven experience (5+ years) leading operations in a unionized manufacturing or production plant environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while driving accountability and performance in fast‑paced operations
- A leadership mindset that combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and a strong focus on operational excellence
- Post‑secondary education in engineering, business, or a related field (degree or diploma)
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, align, and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience implementing staffing, process, and technology improvements to build high‑performing, best‑in‑class operations
