Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Parts for Trucks on their search for a Director of IT to join their team. 

Parts for Trucks has been an industry leader providing parts and service to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. Operating coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers. As part of their commitment to excellence, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT to oversee their ERP and technology operations team. This role focuses on managing a dedicated ERP team, setting priorities for optimization and enhancement activities, and ensuring alignment with business goals. The Director of IT will also be accountable for vendor relationships, IT budgeting, cost management, and leading a technical team that supports cloud, network, and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities: 

Team Leadership & Management 
  • Manage, coach, and develop the ERP and IT operations team to ensure business-critical systems are effectively supported and continuously improved. 
  • Prioritize ERP optimization projects and enhancement requests in alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment where technical employees grow and deliver high- quality outcomes. 

ERP & Business Applications 
  • Oversee daily ERP operations, ensuring stability, performance, and user satisfaction. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into actionable priorities. 
  • Drive continuous process improvements in ERP workflows, reporting, and data quality. 
  • Ensure strong integrations between ERP and e-commerce platforms. 

Technology Strategy & Operations 
  • Oversee infrastructure and cloud environments including Microsoft Azure, Cisco Meraki, and Webex. 
  • Ensure IT operations are secure, reliable, and aligned with company objectives. 
  • Work with leadership to develop IT roadmaps that support growth and innovation
 Vendor & Partner Management 
  • Build and maintain relationships with ERP vendors, technology partners, and service providers. 
  • Negotiate and manage contracts to maximize value and performance. 
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and hold providers accountable. 

Financial & Cost Management 
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, including forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize technology spend and improve ROI on IT investments. 
  • Provide financial oversight for ERP licensing, cloud consumption, and vendor contracts. 

Data Management & Security 
  • Champion data management practices to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. 
  • Strengthen reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities. 
  • Maintain compliance with data governance standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years managing ERP or application teams. 
  • Strong background in ERP systems management, optimization, and prioritization. 
  • Demonstrated experience in IT budgeting, cost management, and financial accountability. 
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions (Azure), networking (Cisco Meraki), and collaboration tools (Webex). 
  • Proven success in vendor management and technology portfolio oversight. 
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
