We are thrilled to partner with them as we look to bring an accounting professional to their team for a 6-month term!
Responsibilities will include:
- Review and sign off on internal bank accounts and GL reconciliations.
- Reconcile GL accounts, including problem solving and correcting errors.
- Investigate teller outages, including providing procedure changes to branches to minimize errors in future.
- Provide support to Accounts Payable, including reviewing and posting invoices when needed.
- Provide support to month-end financial statement preparation.
- Provide support for the Audit, including providing reports and responding to questions and requests.
- Ownership of Chart of Accounts clean up and aligning three entities in accounting and banking systems.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Accounting/business diploma/certificate or a minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting setting.
- Experience with year-end audits will be considered an asset.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills. Can demonstrate a time where they were able to find a discrepancy, investigate and correct the errors.
- Work independently but also be part of a fully remote team.
- Experience with QBO considered an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate in the remote environment.
