Role Description
As the Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will oversee the full purchasing cycle, freight coordination, and inventory control for Living Stone. This role ensures that materials are sourced strategically, received accurately, and managed efficiently to support project timelines. Working closely with suppliers, trucking partners, and internal stakeholders, you will be the central link connecting procurement activities with operational execution. You will also manage warranty and damage claims and follow claims through to resolution.

You are comfortable leading others, coordinating with multiple internal departments, and managing detailed cost and inventory information. A combination of analytical capability, clear communication, and a sense of urgency is essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, freight partners, and internal stakeholders. Experience working with high-volume purchasing, complex inventory environments, and with ERP/inventory systems will enable you to excel in this role.

Role Description
As the Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will oversee the full purchasing cycle, freight coordination, and inventory control for Living Stone. This role ensures that materials are sourced strategically, received accurately, and managed efficiently to support project timelines. Working closely with suppliers, trucking partners, and internal stakeholders, you will be the central link connecting procurement activities with operational execution. You will also manage warranty and damage claims and follow claims through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and execute the company’s purchasing strategy for stone slabs, sinks, accessories, consumables, shop supplies, and operational equipment
- Manage procurement activities from a wide network of domestic and international suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts
- Create and issue purchase orders, track order status across procurement and inventory systems, and ensure each order aligns with a corresponding sales order
- Monitor supplier performance and address delays, shortages, quality issues, and disruptions in supply
- Lead a just-in-time purchasing approach by monitoring stock levels, optimizing inventory, and supporting efforts to reduce slow-moving or excess materials
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring consistent material handling, warehouse coordination, and accurate record-keeping
- Coordinate inbound freight and logistics, including scheduling trucks, maximizing shipment loads, and managing communication with vendors and freight partners
- Collaborate closely with Production, Scheduling, Install, and Sales to align material availability with project timelines
- Manage warranty and damage claims, determining responsibility between vendors and carriers, filing claims promptly, and ensuring timely resolution
- Resolve delivery issues, including damaged slabs, missing materials, or discrepancies in shipments
- Partner with Accounting and AP to validate pricing, match invoices to purchase orders, and support accurate costing for the quoting department
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records across systems, ensuring timely communication and reliable data for operational decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and support procurement, warehouse, and logistics team members, fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and operational excellence
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes

Your qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, and/or inventory management.
- Experience providing oversight, guidance, or leadership to others; formal management experience is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of cost, inventory, and purchasing principles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple suppliers, high-volume orders, and detailed purchasing records
- Experience working with inventory management or ERP systems
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and documentation capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly across departments and to external partners
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to anticipate challenges, identify options, and support continuous improvement within procurement and logistics processes
- Comfortable managing high-volume shipments and handling occasional urgent situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong typing speed and accurate, efficient email management
