Meridia is excited to partner with Living Stone to recruit an Inventory Control and Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia.

Role Description
The Inventory Control and Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in managing procurement, inbound freight, and distribution across the organization. You will work closely with the ordering team, vendors, and trucking partners to ensure materials arrive on time, are accurately tracked, and distributed efficiently to local jobsites. This role balances operational logistics with inventory management and financial oversight, providing essential support for both warehouse and project teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating inbound shipments, scheduling trucks, and managing vendor relationships, including negotiating rates and availability
  • Monitoring inventory levels to prevent over-ordering and ensure critical products remain in stock
  • Overseeing the unloading, storage, and distribution of materials from the Dartmouth warehouse to local jobsites
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is communicated to relevant teams
  • Submitting claims for damaged shipments and managing the clearance of overseas containers
  • Collaborating with accounting and AP to match invoices to purchase orders and ensure correct billing
  • Supporting commercial project logistics and coordinating effectively with other team members

Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with vendors, internal teams, and trucking partners. Candidates should be confident in managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and supporting accounting processes, while maintaining a clear focus on operational efficiency and accuracy.

Your qualifications include:
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, logistics, inventory control, or a similar operational role
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks efficiently
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with external and internal partners, transferring information accurately and efficiently across departments
  • Understanding of basic principles related to inventory and cost management
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Comfortable managing high-volume shipments and handling occasional urgent situations
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong typing speed and accurate, efficient email management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think ahead and anticipate needs or challenges
