Role Description

As Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the engineering department, overseeing technical operations, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure engineering efforts align with business goals and deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Defining and executing the engineering strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team, promoting professional growth and innovation.
  • Overseeing all engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Driving process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Championing the adoption of new technologies and sustainable design practices.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership and other departments to support company-wide initiatives.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in modular construction, manufacturing, or large-scale building projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational change leadership.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
