On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a seasoned transportation leader with deep expertise in LTL operations to join our executive team as Vice President, Transformation.
The Vice President, Transformation is responsible for leading enterprise-wide modernization initiatives across Midland. This role blends strategic vision, cross functional collaboration with hands-on execution. This leader will drive improved processes and the adoption of technical capabilities to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and competitive advantage. The leader will work cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, IT and other business units to deliver measurable outcomes aligned with corporate growth and transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Transformation Leadership
- Lead a strategic transformation roadmap focused on modernizing LTL, Courier, Truckload and Brokerage operations and scaling best practices across the enterprise.
- Drive the shift from legacy systems to integrated, data-driven platforms that support real-time decision-making and operational agility.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all departments.
Operational Modernization
- Oversee upgrades to Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Control Tower capabilities, CRM platforms, in-cab technologies, and maintenance systems.
- Ensure all enhancements improve service reliability, cost efficiency, and customer responsiveness.
Technology & AI Enablement
- Champion the use of AI, telematics, and predictive analytics to optimize fleet performance, driver safety, and proactive maintenance.
- Embed intelligence into routing, exception management, and customer service workflows.
- Lead transformation in an hybrid agile delivery environment that balances speed with governance.
- Prioritize frontline empowerment by ensuring new tools and processes are intuitive, supportive, and aligned with how teams work.
- Collaborate with HR and operations to align transformation with talent development and retention strategies.
- Build change leadership capabilities across the organization to sustain adoption and momentum.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Align cross-functional teams including IT, operations, sales, finance, and HR around a shared transformation vision.
- Engage senior leadership and challenge assumptions to ensure initiatives support long-term strategy and measurable outcomes.
- Translate transformation efforts into clear business value, with a focus on service quality and employee engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in LTL transportation, with a track record of leading operational and digital transformation.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
- Strong communicator and influencer across all levels of the organization.
- Passionate about improving how people work and how customers are served.
- Results driven, ability to manage priorities effectively, demonstrated ability to motivate a workforce, develop a strong performance driven leadership team, and an engaging culture.
Qualifications:
- You have a university degree with concentration in business, logistics or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in transportation, logistics, or industrial sectors with deep understanding of truckload, courier, LTL, and 3PL operations.
- experience with large-scale transformation of legacy systems into modern, integrated solutions.
- Strong background in modernization of legacy systems into scalable digital ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, matrixed organizations, aligning cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
