Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Barry Bryan Associates, a multi-disciplined architectural and engineering firm with a +25 year history of providing quality services throughout Ontario and beyond. BBA is seeking a Design Architect / Architect Intern to join their team in Whitby.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative design concepts that meet project requirements and enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into compelling design solutions.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and models using design software.
• Conduct site analyses and assess project feasibility, considering zoning, codes, and regulations.
• Present design ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders through visual presentations and reports.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure design integrity throughout the construction process.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to continually elevate design quality.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations for design improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably within a collaborative studio environment.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and others.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire clients and team members.
• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
