As an established small business, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the full cycle of accounting functions, from day-to-day operations to financial reporting. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company and ensuring our operations run smoothly. Responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Handle vendor setup, bill payments, and reconciliation processes
- Assist in financial audits and work closely with external auditors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to support business operations
- Oversee cash flow, banking, and investments
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant combination of education in a related field and experience
- CPA designation (preferred but not required)
- Hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting is a must
- Experience with project and/or cost accounting would be a significant consideration
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAGE 300) and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
