The Physician Assessment Centre of Excellence (PACE) provides primary care in a collaborative care setting delivered by internationally trained physicians under assessment for licensure. These physicians are overseen by experienced family physicians trained in assessment. We are excited to partner with them to find a Finance and Payroll Coordinator to join their team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance and Payroll Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the PACE’s financial operations through the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable. This position contributes to monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, budget preparation, and forecasting activities. Collaborating frequently with internal teams and external partners, the Finance and Payroll Coordinator ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintains organized records, and accurate reporting for stakeholders. The role requires attention to detail, professional judgement, and a commitment to continuous improvement in financial processes.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance and Payroll Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the PACE’s financial operations through the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable. This position contributes to monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, budget preparation, and forecasting activities. What you’ll be doing at PACE:
- Payroll Management: Process bi-weekly payroll for employees and physician contractors, maintain profiles, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Verify invoices, process vendor payments, reconcile corporate cards, and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
- Budget & Forecasting: Support annual budget development and departmental forecasting meetings.
- Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate records, liaise with vendors, and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Business or Accounting Certificate program
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- CPA designation, in the process of or interest in completing would be considered a strong asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Business Central and payroll systems is an asset
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
