On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a strong executive sales leader to join their team of dedicated professionals. This individual is ideally well-connected to business leaders throughout New Brunswick/Nova Scotia, has a good handle on the macro issues of the area, and can carry an executive discussion to translate issues into business opportunities or converse on the challenges which could lead to solutions they can deliver. Significant experience in professional services sales, along with proven ability to uncover opportunities and shape customer requirements, as well as successfully manage opportunities from discovery to close, will be key to success in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Professional services sales in NB/NS: you will be responsible to maintain, hunt and grow the business in NB/NS, leading sales efforts with support from executives
• Identify and close new business opportunities and new clients
• Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients and executives  
• Effectively translate business needs into solutions that will meet customers strategic objectives
• Develop and deliver sales proposals
• Develop and manage account plans identifying key activities and priorities
• Provide detailed account information on both prospects and customers and manage a sales pipeline for accurate forecasting of revenue
• Lead negotiations and close contracts, with support from executive management team and legal advisors
• Perform delivery management functions on key projects
• Participate in the Mariner employee experience by building relationships with consultants
• Participate in resource management activities

 

As the ideal candidate, you possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the confidence to make C-level presentations. Strong ability to build collaborative working relationships, along with a demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets, is essential. A natural problem solver, you are intensely curious and motivated to deliver innovative and effective solutions for your customers. You have outstanding sales instincts and bring a consultative approach to your clients that allows you to influence and shape requirements and solutions. An expert negotiator and facilitator, you are able to build strong client relationships that allow you to influence and bring complex opportunities to a successful close. You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced and agile business environment and are self-motivated and driven to achieve results for your clients, and your organization. The role would suit someone with a broad services knowledge, possessing the ability to lead and influence the behavior of others, with the opportunity to assume a leadership role as the professional services business grows.

 

Key Qualifications:

 

• 10+ years of extensive and progressive experience in professional services sales, advisory or consulting services, or IT strategy
• Broad business acumen and exceptional strategic thinking skills
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales objectives
• Developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities
• Experience working with senior level executives on relationship engagement and management
• Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Post-secondary education, preferably a business or engineering degree
• Highly developed skills in prospecting, cold calling, objection handling and closing
• Strong time management, follow-up, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel up to 35%
• Both official languages would be an excellent asset
