Cloud5 is seeking a Director of Training and Development to facilitate the design, planning, and implementation of corporate and departmental training programs for onsite and remote employees.


The Director of Training and Development assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges optimal training solutions for all employees. They define operating objectives and training plans to meet short-term and long-term goals and actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry
  • Work with Cloud5 functions and clients to ensure that training provided to employees is of the required quality
  • Communicates directly with key clients on the development of training curriculums, planning of training classes, and reporting on results
  • Ensure all new employees receive initial on-boarding and client training that coincides with their position and program
  • Maintain and develop training materials that are relevant to current learning styles and current onsite, hybrid, and work-from-home employees
  • Coordinate and support Trainers and Training Managers in the facilitation of initial and advanced programs
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers on the planning for and delivery of training project deliverables
  • Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget
  • Ensure all company, regulatory, and training documentation records are up to date and available for validation
  • Complete needs analysis and create upskill training designed to improve overall performance
  • Supports the strategic and operational use of the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Trains and coach’s managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates, and orders tools and supplies for employee development and training events
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Learning Management System support and operations
  • Proven skills with instructional design methods and a range of software solutions
  • Ability to moderate groups.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Able to travel to multiple Contact Centres when required
  • Clear Criminal Abstract

 

Description of Work Environment

Generally, works in an office environment. Currently a hybrid role with at least a couple of days per week in the office to collaborate will other members of the Executive Leadership Team. Position will require occasional travel to Cloud5 locations, as needed.
