The search for top-tier talent to further strengthen their capabilities and work on leading-edge projects continues. On behalf of our partner, Cahill, we are seeking a Chief Mechanical Estimator to join their Mechanical Estimation Group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and provide solutions and insight to ensure successful execution on various projects. In this role, the Chief Mechanical Estimator prepares estimates and project support from take-off to final pricing, including preparing bids, soliciting vendors or subcontractors, and identifying effective means and methods of construction, for small to multi-million-dollar contracts.

You bring an engaging presence, focused on continuous improvement and finding new ways to save time and money, whether it’s in the field or a meeting room.
As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned Mechanical Estimator with significant (10+ years) experience in a multi-discipline environment with a focus on project estimating and proposal submission. You hold an engineering degree, diploma or trade certification from a recognized post-secondary institution or a combination of equivalent education, job-related training, and work experience. A construction, mechanical, structural, and piping background with a strong knowledge of contracts, codes and industry practices is key to success in this role. Design/build experience including ability to prepare estimates from conceptual drawings is required. A strong foundation in project management and project planning requirements is essential, with CCA Gold Seal Certification an asset. Your tech savviness with computer applications (MS Office including Excel spreadsheets) and experience with estimating software such as Trimble and AutoCAD will elevate your ability to oversee projects and ensure on-time performance and completion.
