Our client, one of Canada’s fastest-growing law firms is currently seeking a Legal Assistant in Construction Litigation for their Montreal office.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit and review legal documents related to real estate law;
  • Transcribe, draft and review correspondence (letters, memos, agreements, matter-related notes, etc.);
  • Conduct searches in the land register and the RDPRM;
  • Correct and format documents;
  • Maintain and keep track of the agenda;
  • Set up, maintain and organize files, including electronic/hard copy filing;
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external parties and provide general information as requested;
  • Prepare billing.

Your Qualifications:

  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in the secretarial field or collegial diploma (DEC) in office services with legal specialization. Any other combination of relevant training/experience will be considered;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Real Estate (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the Quebec Land Registry and familiarity with the Assyst Real Estate platform (Emergis);
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite;
  • Bilingual (written and spoken);
  • Proven interpersonal skills (client oriented both internally and externally);
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Dynamism and initiative;
  • Attention to detail.
