We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeping to join their talented team. As Senior Bookkeeper you’ll support their client base by performing monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations in web-based accounting software, following up with clients, filing GST/HST returns, and generating reports. From day one you will be managing live books, crafting beautifully detailed documentation, talking with clients about real problems and trying to solve them in real time. You’ll jump between the world’s best cloud accounting platforms, making the numbers work and approving reports. You will be the daily mentor to real business founders who will turn to you for help when they need it most and will make decisions based on your prescribed solutions and strategies. You'll be driving, honing and developing an efficient and incredible team and always trying to improve things for everyone, both above and below you.


Key responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing.
  • Performing month-end closings.
  • Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules.
  • Supervising accounting junior bookkeepers.
  • Preparing the trial balance.
  • Tax filings (HST, WCB, T4).
  • New account assessment and clean-up.


This role will require a skilled and personable bookkeeping professional who knows how to navigate complex accounts, make the numbers work and explain how the numbers work. Important qualifications and experience will include:

  • Minimum five years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping.
  • Great communication skills, clear and concise, but not robotic.
  • Ability to figure things out on your own and easily adapt to changes.
  • Accountability and the ability to take full responsibility to ensure the quality of work is high and deadlines are met.
  • Independence with the ability to work from home and remain focused and diligent in an independent work environment.
  • Strong systems skills and enjoy researching and learning new applications.
