On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Branch Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Director, Retail Services, the Branch Manager will be responsible to lead one of the four larger branches within CUA’s operations in the areas of service, sales, business development and people management. The position is accountable for: 1. executing all aspects of the Member Experience Model; 2. attracting, retaining and growing the membership base; 3. motivating, coaching and developing the skills and competencies of staff; and 4. achieving all established branch business and operational targets. In addition, the position will carry out any branch position functions as determined necessary in order to meet the needs of members and of the organization.
As the ideal candidate, you possess proven ability to lead a team and to help them achieve their full individual and collective potential. You possess a minimum of six years relevant experience, including three to five years supervisory experience in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of training and experience in a sales and service management role. Superior knowledge of financial products and services will be preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on business, along with excellent leadership, management and communication skills, is required. Excellent prioritization, multi-tasking, time-management, as well as superior sales and sales management skills with a proven record of results, is essential. Strong decision-making capabilities, with positive outcomes achieved from those decisions, and ability to effectively deal with, and resolve, conflict, will be key to success in the role. With a strong service orientation, you are focused on achieving exceptional service standards.
