Our client, an engineering consulting firm, is engaged in the provision of professional engineering, operation, and management services. The firm is sustained by their core values of quality, employee ownership, financial stability, and integrity. Their Toronto office is looking for a new Project Engineer to join their Urban Development team.  

As a project engineer you will be responsible for all facets of land development engineering including preliminary engineering and feasibility studies, detailed design, construction related services, contract administration and business development. They are all related to site plan and subdivision development projects.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in civil engineering with a valid P. Eng designation in the province of Ontario.
  • 5-7 years’ progressive experience in urban development engineering. Candidate having consultancy experience and specific experience working in Toronto is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A self-starter with high sense of responsibility and is motivated to have a successful career.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Proven advanced level Excel skills and a proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Experience with proposal writing and client development would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and or Civil 3D would be considered an asset
