We are excited to partner with Saint Mary's University in the search for a Senior Development Officer, Campaign.


The Senior Development Officer reports to the Director of Philanthropy, and works collaboratively with the Office of Advancement team members including the Vice President Advancement, Director of Development, Development Officers, Manager of Annual Giving, Director of Alumni Engagement, Manager Advancement Services, and External Affairs, and other senior members of the University community. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects at the six-figure gift level. The position builds and fosters relationships with new and existing prospective donors, including alumni, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations and other friends of the university.


The ideal candidate will possess:


• University degree or college diploma.
• Demonstrated fund raising experience, with a minimum of three to five years in a directly related major gift setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of regional business context.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize a diverse array of tasks in order to achieve outcomes in a timely fashion.
• Above average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated capability with the MS Office Suite of products and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience working with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) software would be an asset.
