Our client, Maritime Marine Supply is a leading B2B distributor in the marine industry, providing its customers with the highest degree of customer service. It provides a very wide selection of products but prides itself on its in-depth product knowledge and customer service. On their behalf, we are recruiting for an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. The Accounting Supervisor will work closely with the Controller and Vice President, Finance and be a key member of their finance and accounting team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for the full accounting cycle including overseeing daily transactions, payables, receivables, bank reconciliations
  • Supervise accounting staff and their day-to-day work, troubleshooting and responding to queries as they arise
  • Assisting with the period end financial reporting
  • Compiling various weekly and monthly reports and spreadsheet creation as required
  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders pivotal to the business
  • Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

The ideal candidate is someone with solid full cycle accounting experience paired with post-secondary education in the accounting (or similar) field; experience with Syspro would be considered a strong asset.
