On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Director, Products to join their team of dedicated professionals in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing, the Director, Products will work to understand the needs and challenges of customers, translate those insights into ideas for investment and new product development or existing product enhancement. The Director, Products is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, monitoring performance, recommending adjustments to pricing or promotion to counter competitor responses and working with customers to identify potential enhancements. The Director, Products will work closely with engineering and sales to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

 

As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of ten years of relevant product management experience in a fast-paced environment, along with a minimum of five years’ experience in managing people and teams. A solid technical background and former hands-on experience as a software developer or hardware designer will be key to success in this role. Successful examples of bringing new products and solutions to market is essential. With exceptional communication, interpersonal and project management skills, including developing effective cross-organizational and vendor relationships, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. A bachelors or master’s degree in engineering is required.
