On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Parts Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

Reporting to the General Manager, the Parts Manager will lead, manage and direct the parts team. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation process of the parts department, the successful candidate will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. The Parts Manager will maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the needs of the service department as well as the general public, continuously monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence. Analyzing P&L statements to determine resource allocation, as well as seeking out new vendors, suppliers, manufactures and negotiating terms and pricing for greater profitability will be key to success in the role.

 

As the ideal candidate, you are a self-motivated and driven individual possessing a minimum of two years experience in an equivalent managerial or supervisory role. Four years related parts sales experience and/or training will be preferred. The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, while remaining focused and goal oriented is essential. With exceptional professional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess a strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. A valid drivers license, as well as a deep and thorough understanding of inventory control, setting goals, managing a departmental budget and maintaining dealership standards, is required.
