As a key member of LuminUltra’s Baltimore Team, the Production Laboratory Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Reagents for Diagnostic Kits.
  • Preparing Buffers and Reagents.
  • Quality Control (QC) Testing of Reagents.
  • Working in a Clean Room Environment.
  • Maintaining Detailed Laboratory QC and Manufacturing Records.
  • Labeling and Assembling Diagnostic Reagent Kits.
  • Creating and Updating SOPs.
  • Maintaining Inventory of Raw Materials and Finished Products.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy workspace daily.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • May assist the warehouse with shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.


  • B.S. in Biology or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Documented experience working in a molecular biology or manufacturing laboratory.
  • Must be highly organized and reliable.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Organizational & time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Experience working under ISO 9001, ISO13485, or similar standards preferred.
  • Committed to doing whatever it takes to get the job done- we are a small team so you will be asked to wear many hats
