We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our team in Halifax, NS for a 12-month term opportunity. The ideal Director of Finance will have a strong and technically sound financial background and previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role. We are looking for an individual who is resourceful, creative, and able to make timely operational decisions while working in a highly organized and efficient manner. Building strong working relationships through exceptional interpersonal skills is a must.
The Director of Finance is quite hands-on and will be responsible for preparing and reviewing all financial statements; payroll and benefits administration and review; cash flow reporting; budget creation; banking; insurance, dividend, and expense management; lease agreement management; liaising with bank contacts and external auditors; vendor management; bonus and compensation review; key contact and systems administration management. The Director of Finance will have oversight and provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting and corporate services team members.

We are looking for a talented individual who can keep the big picture in mind while capitalizing on opportunities for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the responsibilities listed above and hold a current CPA designation. If you have a strong financial foundation, with a natural ability to work co-cooperatively while using superior management and communication skills this could be an excellent interim opportunity for you.
