On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Service Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth and profitable operation of the service department. Ensuring that an adequate number of trained technicians are on duty during hours of operation is essential, therefore providing and/or arranging training, product knowledge, direction and scheduling for all department staff is key to success in the role. The Service Manager will assume full responsibility for the proper use, security, care and maintenance of all service equipment, and will abide by and enforce all policies pertaining to the department. The Service Manager will direct, assist and motivate department personnel to achieve maximum productivity, efficiency and profitability, as well as complete end of day reporting procedures to ensure overall success of the department.

As the ideal candidate, you are a self-motivated and driven individual possessing strong managerial and problem-solving skills. Related experience in an equivalent managerial or supervisory role within a service department will be preferred. The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, while remaining focused and goal oriented is essential. You are detail oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills. Utilizing your exceptional professional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess a strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. A valid drivers license is required. A forklift operators’ license would be considered an asset.
