On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

 

The Technical Sales Representative will promote and secure the sale of structural, civil and architecturally related products within the assigned market sectors. Market sectors will include commercial, multi-residential, industrial, institutional and healthcare related building materials. The successful candidate will identify, qualify and secure sales opportunities in the prescribed markets and territory, developing and maintaining close working relationships with those decision-makers. The Technical Sales Representative will influence and assist in preparing technical specifications, develop and maintain project activity reports indicating status, and follow up and close quotes.

 

As the ideal candidate, you are an accomplished and driven sales professional possessing a minimum of five years of related outside sales experience. Experience in building envelope, flooring, coatings or concrete related materials will be preferred. Technical education, C.E.T or background with technical specification writing experience would be considered a strong asset. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential. Effective selling, presentation and organizational skills will be key to success in this role. With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. A College or University Degree in Business or related post-secondary education is required.
