The fourth-generation family business with 10 locations throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia takes pride in providing quality products, customized solutions and service to their industrial, commercial and residential customer base. On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an Outside Sales Representative - Electrical to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Outside Sales Representative – Electrical will be responsible for selling corporate products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales and margins quotas. The Outside Sales Representative will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites. This individual will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress and competitive environment is essential. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are key to success in this role.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of five years of direct work experience in an external electrical sales capacity. Possessing a professional demeanor and selling style, you demonstrate proven ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas. Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development and time and territory management is essential. A technical background in electrical or related field will be strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practises and techniques, and success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers will be key to success in the role. With exceptional communication and relationship building skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature.
