On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a Superintendent to join their team based in Lunenburg, NS.

As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring Facility Food Safety Standards and Production of Products meet or exceed customer and product specifications. You place great importance on quality and food safety through high scores on quality audits and compliance to specs, HACCP and GMP's. The health and safety of your team is top of mind and in addition to those policies and regulations you also keep up to date with new labour laws and government policies. You will have efficiency top of mind and support the timely and cost-effective manufacturing of products through quality standards and company objectives. This will also be done through implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles or ‘Problem Solving & Lessons Learned’ procedures to ensure continual growth within the company. Your curiosity and initiative will serve well for working with the Research & Development team in the processing of new products. As a mentor, you lead your team and encourage training to help them grow.

As the ideal candidate, you have at least 3 years of leadership experience with a background in food production procedures and supervision. You have knowledge and understanding of both Scheduling procedures and costing of products to ensure the production of products in an efficient & cost-effective manner. You are committed and follow projects to completion. As a self-starter and effective relationship builder, you are able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and you have an exceptional ability to present and report on the success of initiatives in order to engage stakeholders and gain buy-in. As a proven leader and collaborator, you can effectively delegate responsibilities and have excellent communication skills.
