FirstOnSite Restoration has an immediate opening for a Human Resource Business Partner for the Atlantic Region, based out of our Dartmouth branch. FirstOnSite Restoration is the largest independent disaster restoration company in Canada. We provide unsurpassed emergency response, restoration and reconstruction services to the insurance industry, residential, commercial and industrial customers. With coast-to-coast coverage and 24/7 emergency service, we offer a wide range of services that remediate conditions caused by fires, floods, winds, mold, environmental hazards, accidents and other casualties at any type of facility.

  • Liaise with branch leaders to identify and solve employee related issues for the Atlantic region
  • Offer practical HR solutions to a client group across multiple regional branches
  • Contribute within the national HR team to develop and deliver programs and services
  • Act as part of the regional leadership team and make strong contributions to regional operations
  • Assist in developing, training and implementing a variety of regional and corporate HR initiatives
  • Act as a local resource for interpretation of HR policy and procedures
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of employees
  • Support regional Employee Relations initiatives
  • Coach leaders on employee issues and leadership effectiveness
  • Assist leaders in driving employee engagement through all levels of the operation
  • Assist in facilitating talent reviews and succession planning
  • Other general Human Resource related duties as required


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR Business Partner role
  • Certificate/Diploma in Human Resources
  • CPHR designation an asset
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or with minimum supervision
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel on occasion as required
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle
