On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Team Lead, Marketing to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Vice President, Customer Strategy, the Team Lead, Marketing is responsible in leading the organization’s marketing strategies and plans in support of the corporate brand strategy and customer insights. The role includes leading and managing a wide range of marketing and educational initiatives, designed to engage and inspire customers; enhance NSLC’s brand in the marketplace; and contribute to delivering on NSLC’s goals and objectives. The Team Lead, Marketing leads promotional marketing to develop and deliver the marketing and educational strategy based on business priorities including in-store programs, advertising campaigns, website and online direct-to consumer marketing, events and NSLC’s Occasions magazine. This role oversees the external advertising/communications for marketing, managing agency relationships to deliver superior creative work and ensure the integration of messaging. The Team Lead, Marketing works to deliver a seamless customer experience and build cross-functional collaboration and alignment with other business units.

As the ideal candidate, you possess eight years’ experience in marketing communications, with a minimum of four years’ experience supervising marketing communication professionals. In addition, you have four years’ experience managing client/agent relationships. Experience working with or in an advertising agency in a project management capacity would be considered an asset. Sound knowledge of marketing principles and business strategies as well as strong knowledge of advertising processes and various advertising disciplines (creative, production and media, etc.) is required. You are results oriented with a strong knowledge of project management and event management along with an enhanced understanding of the retail industry and marketing practices. As a strategic problem solver, you thrive in a rapidly changing, fast paced business environment. Analytical by nature, you apply sound judgement when managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in an environment of significant organizational change. With exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, you provide strong leadership with a focus on coaching and mentoring to develop and maintain competent, efficient and motivated teams. An undergraduate degree, or diploma, in Business Administration is required, with a focus in marketing is preferred.
