Meridia is pleased to partner with Michelin North America to recruit an experienced Production Leader to join their team in Nova Scotia.

The Production Leader will be responsible for production activities within a 24 hour, 7 day a week facility, driving on-site employee performance towards the achievement of company business objectives relating to safety, quality, customer service, and cost. You will be responsible for effective production planning, budget management and the identification and implementation of process improvements. As a catalyst for progress, you will develop and implement employee coaching plans and work alongside your team to maximize their capabilities through effective performance management. You will also monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a Bachelor degree or technical diploma coupled with 5+ years of progressive production and people management experience in a manufacturing environment. Your strong management skills enable you to supervise hourly and salaried staff, manage a budget, plan maintenance and efficiently schedule production. You are known for building lasting internal and external relationships and your strong communication skills enable you to gain buy-in easily. You have demonstrated an ability to engage and motivate staff and use key employee metrics and performance indicators to identify and recognize positive performance. You are committed to making safety and quality a priority on your team and you strive to ensure your team believes in the importance of both.
